Thanks so much! Happy to have you here! I’ve studied permaculture a bit and it’s certainly something I think about with respect to designing my garden, though, of course, its principles are applicable to many aspects of life. It’s a valuable framework to apply to the question of how to shift cultural and economic paradigms. I have not ventured into solar cooking, but that sounds like it could be a fun summer project!
Thanks for writing this! It’s nice to get to know the person behind the great essays. I’ve been working my way through the Scene On Radio podcasts on capitalism since last week when you talked about them in your piece. They’re so informative and well-done. Happy to be on this journey with you!
Lots of agreement from here in suburban Canberra.
Re the neurodivergent question, I've just settled on "wierd" to describe myself.
Weird is my favorite way to describe myself and weirdos are some of my favorite people :)
Of course, if one is feeling mystical, one can always spell it as "wyrd"...
Anyone who can complete a Law degree definitely has the gestalt to problem solve. Ranks right up with Architecture and Medical brain power.
Gushing aside, it will be good to follow you.
Curious on your thoughts about Permaculture systems, ethics, and etc. Are you doing solar cooking?

I presume you're familiar with David Holmgren's "Retrosuburbia"?
I am! Though admittedly, I haven’t actually read it, but I’ve heard him speak about it and have read articles about his ideas.
Yeah - like much of his work it's long, careful and detailed, but we'll worth reading.
Awesome sauce all around!
BTW: I have a friend at your latitude in https://www.youtube.com/@SolarCookingMuseum and there is always the WIki on the bottom of https://www.solarcookers.org/ when you go down that rabbit hole.
And you are welcome to come visit SoCalifornia/Ventura county if you need to escape snow days.
